A register of your equipment that stays free.
AssetLogger keeps a record of every laptop, phone and tool your company owns, prints a QR label for each one, and tells you who has what. Free for one administrator, with no limit on the number of assets.
It isn't finished. Nothing ships yet — the register, the labels and the scan page are being built; assigning an item to a person is planned next. This page is a waiting list, not a sign-up — there is nothing to install and no trial clock to start.

What it does
Four things. Nothing else is planned for the free tier.- 01Keep the registerOne row per item: what it is, its serial number, what you paid, where it lives. Import the spreadsheet you already have as a CSV.
- 02Print the labelsA QR label per item, on A4 sheets of ordinary adhesive labels. Stick them on the laptop lid, the drill case, the monitor stand.
- 03Scan to identifyPoint a phone camera at a label and the item's page opens: what it is, who has it, since when. No app to install.
- 04Hand it over, signedBeing builtAssign an item to an employee and take their signature on a phone. You get a dated PDF record; they get a copy by email.
Why free means free here
You are probably here because the tool everyone recommends as the free one turned out to be free for thirty days. That is a reasonable reason to distrust this page. So instead of promising, here is the arrangement in the same words I would use with an accountant.

- A thirty-day clock that ends in a paywall

If AssetLogger ever charges, it will charge for the second administrator and for the things a single-admin company does not need: several sites, approval steps, an audit export for an insurer. The one-administrator register is the free tier. Moving it behind a price would make this page a lie, and this page is dated.
I'm building it myself, from Bari. It costs me very little to run one more register, which is exactly why I can say this.

Including who it isn't for, so you don't waste a morning.- You are 10 to 200 people and one person — probably you — keeps track of the equipment.
- The spreadsheet works until someone leaves, and then nobody knows which laptop was theirs.
- You need to answer two questions quickly: who has this, and what did we buy in 2023.
- You need depreciation schedules and asset accounting — that belongs in your accounting software.
- You count consumables by quantity. AssetLogger counts individual items with labels on them.
- You want software installed on every machine to inventory it automatically. Nothing here touches the device.
